Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of energy healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady, is used in a wide range of hospitals in the US, and by hundreds of thousands of practititioners, many of whom are doctors and nurses. Reiki works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind, and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well being. Many have reported amazing, even miraculous, results. A treatment feels like a warm, calm radiance flowing through and around you. If you are offering Reiki to someone else, both you and that person receive the warmth and comfort of the energy, although in slightly different ways. Unlike the many forms of chi healing that drain the practitioner's personal energy leaving you tired, when you give a Reiki treatment to someone else you actually feel energized at the end of the treatment.

Learning Reiki is a gift you give yourself, an empowerment you choose that enables you to help yourself heal old issues and deal with new health issues as they arise, and it is an ability that lets you help others effectively as they are willing. First Degree begins your journey to that self-empowerment. As a Reiki Practitioner, you can offer "hands on" Reiki to yourself and others quickly and easily whenever and wherever needed, and you need nothing more than your hands to do it.

Your Reiki training begins with First Degree, a two-day class usually held over a weekend. Participants will learn to give and receive Reiki treatments, to understand some of the science underlying energy healing and Reiki in particular, and how to use Reiki in medical settings or with themselves and others. Format is lecture, discussion, and a lot of hands-on practice. Wear comfortable clothes; we are on and off the tables each day. See below for class outline.
